Access and Usage Policies
- Library Cards and Membership: Proper identification required for borrowing materials.

- Personal Belongings: Store personal belongings in designated areas; the library is not responsible for lost items.

Safety and Security Measures
- Personal Safety: Report any emergencies or suspicious behavior to library staff immediately.
- COVID-19 Safety Guidelines: Follow posted health and safety guidelines, including mask mandates and social distancing protocols.
- Security Cameras: Surveillance cameras are in use for the safety and security of patrons and library materials.
Consequences for Violation
- Warning System: Patrons will receive a warning for the first offense.
- Suspension of Library Privileges: Repeated violations may result in temporary or permanent suspension of library privileges.
Library Services
Borrow Book- Reference Services: We help students and employees find information, locate resources, and answer questions.Whether it's research support, guidance on using library resources effectively, or recommendations for further reading, reference services aim to support users in their information needs.
- Circulation Services: We manage the borrowing and returning of library materials. This includes checking out and returning books, multimedia items, and other resources, as well as managing library accounts, renewing items, and handling fines or fees associated with overdue materials.
- Current Awareness Services: We keep students and employees informed about the latest developments, events, and resources relevant to their interests or fields of study.
- Internet Services: We provided access to online databases, electronic journals, and other digital resources. Additionally, we often offer internet access to students and employees.
Library Services in New Normal
- We have expanded our online resources, including e-books, digital magazines, and online databases, to allow students to access materials remotely.
- Virtual services such as online reference assistance, and educational workshops have been introduced to engage students from a distance.
- Libraries that have reopened to the public have implemented capacity limits, social distancing measures, and enhanced cleaning protocols to ensure a safe environment for patrons and staff.

Policy in Borrowing Books
- Borrowing privileges are extended to registered library members only.
- Membership is open to students, faculty, and staff.
- Valid identification and library membership card must be presented for borrowing.
- Books may be borrowed for a standard loan period of 1 week.

Mission
The mission of Pangasinan State University Library is to provide information resources and services to faculty, students, researchers and administrative staff in support to the instructional and scholarly inquiry of the University that will promote liberal learning, education for services, training for careers and development of lifelong learning skills.
Goals
1. To develop and manage the collection that is relevant to the University's curricular programs and responsive to the needs of students, faculty, researchers, and administrative staff.
2. To organize and preserve information resources that supports the instruction, research and extension, and production of the University.
3. To support and promote the use of information resources by providing references and establishing linkages to meet the needs of the library users.
4. To create and maintain a conducive learning and working environment.
Objectives
1. To be more responsive to the academic needs and research demands of the students, faculty, researchers and administrative staff.
2. To provide a user-friendly and accessible print and non-print collections used in the instruction, research and extension, and production of the University.
3. To conduct and market library programs and services that will promote information literacy.
4. To provide improved physical facilities and up-to-date technical equipment for efficient and effective library services.
